HEIDI E. DODD, a native of O'Fallon, Illinois, graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2000, and is licensed to practice in Illinois. In preparation for law school, Ms. Dodd obtained her Undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1995, and her Master's degree from University of Illinois in 1997.
Prior to private practice, Ms. Dodd served for three years as Assistant General Counsel for the Illinois Department on Aging and one year with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. During her service with the Department on Aging, Ms. Dodd provided legal guidance to the Elder Abuse and Neglect Program, Circuit Breaker Program, and various other services designed to assist seniors. Currently, Ms. Dodd practices and litigates in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship, Elder Law, Mediation and Family Law, and joined the law firm of Harter, Larson & Dodd, LLC in January 2008.
Ms. Dodd is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and serves as Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurses Association, and is on the Ethics and Quality Assessment Committees for Hospice of Southern Illinois.
